Discounts and Freebies for Health Care Workers – The White Coat Investor – Investing & Personal Finance for Doctors
[ad_1]
Health care workers are our nation’s new heroes, although as the COVID-19 pandemic and how it is balanced with the economy becomes increasingly politicized, there are some signs that could change. In the meantime, we’ll just enjoy the benefits. Many of you have never been in this situation before. Those of us who have been military docs already know this drill. You get a lot of people telling you “thank you for your service” when they see you in your uniform, lots of businesses offer you discounts, occasionally someone buys your lunch anonymously, and you learn to start asking “Do you offer a military discount?”
Today I just wanted to make a big long list of companies that offer discounts and/or freebies for health care workers like physicians, dentists, APCs, and other health care high-income professionals who read this blog. Hopefully, you can find one or two discounts you can use. But even if your company isn’t listed, don’t be afraid to ask for a health care discount! I’m sure I forgot a few, so please list the ones I forgot in the comments section and I’ll add them. Note that some of these companies use SheerID or ID.me to verify your professional status, others require you to show a badge, and still others use the honor system. The more you save, the more verification you’ll be asked to provide.
